The majority of modern clothing uses synthetic man-made microfibres such as Polyester, Nylon, Acrylic, and Polyurethane. The manufacturing of these products use insecticides, pesticides, chemicals, and petroleum but also wash an estimated 1.4 trillion plastic microfibres into the rivers and oceans harming life and ecosystems. This has a detrimental effect on marine life and we are still unaware of the full extent of this passing back into the food chain and into humans and mammals.<\/p>

Natural threads have been used since history began and we can date it back all the way to prehistoric times, all over the world. From mountainous areas all the way to lowland areas near the coast, people have innately used nature to make garments.
