Normally stickers have to be ordered and printed in bulk and that creates massive amounts of waste. We wanted stickers that are consistent with our values - using renewable energy, made from natural materials and only printing what people need, when they need it. It took a while. But it's been worth the wait.<\/p>

Sustainability of our stickers depends on 6 key factors. This is how we've approached them.<\/p>

1. Using\u00a0renewable energy<\/strong>\u00a0to print them, which means using wind and sunshine instead of fossil fuels.<\/p>

2. Designing out\u00a0waste<\/strong>\u00a0from the beginning by developing new tech to only print the stickers that people want, when they need them, one at a time.<\/p>

3. From the start we wanted to use water-based\u00a0inks\u00a0<\/strong>similar to the GOTS-certified organic inks used in the machines that print your tees. No nasties? No worries.<\/p>

4. Using plants, not plastic, might mean that they won't survive shot blasting or a Winter in the wild, but that's the whole point. We want these things to biodegrade.<\/p>

5. It's not enough to make the sticker from paper, the\u00a0backing<\/strong>\u00a0is also part of the problem, so we use a special type of calenderised paper. Basically it's greaseproof paper. Our thoughts are that if it's good enough to eat from, that's good enough for us.<\/p>

6. Onto the really hard bit - the\u00a0sticky bit.\u00a0<\/strong>This is where lots of people use acrylics and plastics. Not here. We're using a water-based, rubber alternative which has impressive permanent sticking power.<\/p>

We will soon be launching our new eco stencils allowing your to rock the Severn logo on your slick in the colour of your own choice!<\/p>

Not wanting to waste anything - we still have a limited stock of our old stickers which we will be distributing. But once they have gone - they are gone!<\/p>

As mentioned above our new stickers are not designed for the outdoors. We encourage our customers to use these to personalise stationary and other personal items around the house. What about board decals you ask? Don't worry... we're working on it! We will soon be launching our new eco stencils allowing your to rock the Severn logo on your slick in the colour of your own choice!<\/p>
